Leather Doctor WordPress website

Leather Doctor is a family-run business based out of Chobham. They are leather restoration specialists and are releasing their own co-branded leather care products to make it easier for leather lovers to care for their goods at home. We worked with Sarah at Leather Doctor on their rebrand a number of years back. We produced a new brand identity, logo, stationery and product labels. Carrying on from that work, it was great to work with Sarah again to redesign their website.

Reaper Enterprise recently revamped our website, which was well overdue. The team at creative Reaper were extremely patient with me, delivering content in dribs and drabs as I slowly worked through all the overwhelming detail I wanted included in the content. Maureen was always there as an honest sounding board, giving me valuable feedback and getting me back on track when I was getting lost in the content and copy.

There was a clear understanding of exactly I wanted the site to look and feel like and Reaper competently delivered in creating a site that conveyed our brand clearly, always considering my creative input even when it seemed to be a one step forward , two steps back. It was a pleasure working with Reaper and would highly recommend them to others for re-branding, logo and website design.

Responsive e-commerce Website

leather doctor homepage

Built using the popular WordPress content management system with WooCommerce for the online shop, we designed and developed a responsive website that had clear calls to action.

About the Design

We worked with Leather Doctor on their content strategy, providing recommendations and feedback on the copy. As the pages are quite long and text-heavy, the design uses headings, hero-text, and other text features to enable readers to easily skim content & identify key points.

The homepage uses animation to change between word-art of Leather Doctor's 4 USPs.

Rather than having an independent gallery, we opted to create a stronger link with Leather Doctor's Instagram profile by embedding their Instagram feed. For key sections, the feed is then filtered to show the most relevant posts.

The e-commerce shop uses the Woocommerce plugin and includes the ability to add a video into the product image gallery. This is a great way of sharing videos of the product in use so potential buyers can see it in use. The shop ties in with Royal Mail to provide shipping by weight and securely accepts payment via PayPal.

Brand Identity

We worked closely with Sarah at Leather Doctor; bouncing colours, fonts and ideas back and forth before deciding on a natural colour scheme with a pop of lime green. To retain a bit of the brand's heritage, we kept the leather tag that was in their previous logo, but updated the script font to sans-serif ones. The fonts have different weights and this added dimension to the logo and also enabled us to choose the heavier font for primary info and the thinner font for supplementary info.

Stationary

We created a Word template for the letterhead and print-ready files for the compliment slip and business cards. To accompany the rebrand, email signatures were also created so all points of contact were consistent.
